The AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range (AARGM-ER) produced by Northrop Grumman is launched from U.S. Navy F-35C Lightning IIs on a DEAD (Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses) mission. The F-35C and AARGM-ER combination provides the lethal capability to detect, locate, and permanently destroy modern air defense systems gaining assured access for strike forces. AARGM-ER utilizes existing AARGM sensors, electronics and warhead with upgraded propulsion and tail-control for increased range, speed and altitude. AARGM-ER addresses capability gaps created by 2020+ threats.
